The Five Most Important Questions of Life-Part 2

I am glad to see you!!

Today, I will continue our talk about The Five Questions that changed my life.

Even to this day, I am passionate about sharing them because it has impacted my thinking significantly.

Let’s jump right in and continue to expand our thinking with a fresh perspective in mind.

Where am I from?

This question is referring to where the human race initially Sourced.

I discovered, where you are from, has to do with where you were sourced- not where you are physically born.

Let me explain further.

If you were to ask me, “Where are you from?” twenty years ago, I would have said: “I am from Canada.”

In general, most young people would answer this question as the place where they were physically born or where they grew up.

Let’s not get confused ourselves here and think our physical heritage is ONLY what we should identify with because most physical ethnic groups have a mixture of different nations of people in one individual.

Which in some cases leads to a bit of confusion.

Here’s the point; looking into our physical heritage makes it difficult to know which place we are originally from.

I thought being born in my country of birth was my source of identifying my location of origin until I gain insights from what I discovered while reading the book “Understanding Your Potential.

Three-part being

When I started reading the book Understanding your potential, I learned where am from has to do with me being a three-part being.

  1. A spirit
  2. A soul  ( mind, will, emotions)
  3. A body

You know that saying from the French philosopher, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience.”

Therefore, I am a spirit in a body that possesses a soul and my soul houses my thoughts and intellect.

What does this have to do with where you are from you ask? It has everything to do with who we originally came from as our Source.

To reiterate this, my mind, will, and emotions were made to be connected with my spirit. Therefore my spirit is linked with the Originator, who is a Spirit and my Source.

For me, this information connected so many dots in my mind it blow me away.

I hope I didn’t lose you back there. If so, get the book “Understanding Your Potential” it will change your perspective.

Another fascinating point to shed some light on ORIGIN is whatever something came from determines its components.

So, for instance, the plant was made from dirt and as a result of where it came to be ( the dirt) is its source.

It’s that simple.

Let’s continue our discussion with the next question Why am I here? Or Why was I born?

This question is referring to our Existence.

Why do we exist?

We exist because of purpose.

Purpose is the reason for which we were created.

In other words, created to fulfill a specific task that can solve a problem for humanity.

Many youths have this question weighing on their minds because they have a vague sense of what life means.

Most importantly, being unable to identify your purpose makes it challenging to figure out how You’re supposed to be living, which leads to experimentation with your choices.

As a result of the experimenting and having uncertainty, you will struggle later on in adulthood with jobs, life, or career choices.

 I know I did!

Speaking from experience, not being aware of my purpose affected all of my work-related choices and I experience a lack of satisfaction with what I was given to do.

No sense of purpose

I secretly thought to myself on several occasions during my down days, that I was meant to do something important with my life; but what?

Everything that I did felt like it wasn’t what matched my personality and abilities, which made me feel unfulfilled.

Life felt aimless and pointless like I was going around in a vicious cycle of wasted energy and time.

I became longing for something more out of life, and like the quote by Lewis Carroll says: if you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there.

This became my reality.

Thinking Differently

Fast-forward to now, what I have learned and want to share is purpose should give you a passion for living and the true meaning of life.

Purpose should give you a sense of anticipation, satisfaction, and fulfillment.

Purpose is when you discover and identify it with understanding; then you accomplish it.

Purposes imply there is something that is needed to be done, but it is awaiting your acknowledgment and awareness so that it can do what it was assigned to do.

Gaining an understanding of purpose made me look at life differently, knowing now that everything has a purpose, I think and see with eyes beyond my current situation.

That is to say, having an awareness of purpose interrupts pointless living and the need to question yourself.

In short, I know now that there are plans I can make to help me flourish and to give me hope because I am fully aware of my purpose, and this is how I have come to be thus far.

Take action now

If you’re interested in taking a giant leap into determining your purpose, here is a good place to start!

In the next post, we will continue with the next question What can I do?

See you there!
